Tips on balancing home working and home schooling
Home working and home schooling – looks like it is going to be here for a while. And for most of us, that brings the challenge of balancing both of these during the working hours. This webinar will, in the 1st hour, cover some tips to manage this.
The presentation will be followed by a virtual networking session starting at 4 p.m. So bring your tea, coffee, drinks and snacks and get to meet some other Alumni. When registering, please indicate if you are only attending the networking.
Details of the presentation:
Change is hard for adults to process. How much more difficult will it be for children this year?
How can we motivate our children to be enthusiastic about schooling at home?
How can we bring our children on board with the idea of working as a team and set mutually beneficial boundaries to ensure everyone can achieve what they need to during the day?
At this webinar, Janthea will share tips for parents on; how they can best communicate with children, how to understand the signals they share with us and how to use those to create a productive environment at home to balance work and school life.
Janthea Brigden was home educated herself (when her teacher mum took them around Europe for a year in a converted caravan!) and chose to home educate two of her children at different stages in their development, whilst also running a successful business.
She is a qualified Early Years Professional and is Nipperbout’s Childcare director and Safe Guarding Officer. Since 1992, she has grown Nipperbout to be a nationally recognised, award winning company that cares for over 10,000 children a year.
The event is restricted to IIT students, Alumni, staff and their families.
