SKUAST-K sends first BTech AI-in-Agriculture batch to IIT Mandi
Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST-K) has flagged off its first batch of BTech Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture students to IIT Mandi, where they'll complete their third year (semesters V and VI) under a collaborative arrangement between the two institutions. Vice Chancellor Prof Nazir Ahmad Ganai saw the students off, marking what the university calls one of the first programmes in India to combine advanced computing — AI, machine learning, robotics, data science, IoT and climate intelligence — with agriculture and allied sciences. The joint programme aims to build a new generation of professionals equipped to apply digital technologies to farming and rural development.
